Marcus Smith, MA LCPC,LPC,NCC, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland and Washington D.C. who specializes in working with adolescents and adults. He also holds a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling and specializations in Family Counseling and Addictions Counseling from Bowie State University. As a practitioner, Marcus uses Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person Centered Therapy.

Currently, Marcus is the Clinical Supervisor of a 54 bed Adolescent Residential Treatment Center for Adventist Behavioral Health and Wellness Services. The Residential Treatment Center is comprised of 1 Male Adolescent Sexual Deviant Behavior Program, 1 Male Adolescent Behaviorally Challenged Program and 1 Female Adolescent Behaviorally Challenged Program. Furthermore, Marcus also oversees the graduate internship program within the

RTC. In addition, Marcus specializes in working with Adolescents suffering from therapeutic issues including depression, anxiety, substance abuse disorders sexual trauma and trauma. Marcus has worked in an array of professional areas such as schools outpatient clinics and hospitals. His approach and ability to focus and hone in troubled areas that youth are experiencing has lead to tremendous results.

Marcus is a Clinical member of The Association of the Treatment of Sexual Abusers and also holds affiliations with American Counseling Association, Maryland Counseling Association, DC Mental Health Counseling Association and a Maryland Board Approved Supervisor. He often lectures at Bowie State University and teaches workshop courses to students preparing for the licensure exam. Marcus has been working as a consultant with D. Gambles and Associates since 2012. Currently at D. Gambles & Associates, Marcus provides therapy to Adults, Couples and Adolescents.
