Tiffany Urby

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Tiffany Urby, MA, LCPC, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland who holds an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and a Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology. 

 

Tiffany has an array of professional experience, including working in corrections, providing intake interviews, individual and group therapy and mental health follow-up requests to detainees awaiting trial, along with providing services for the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program where she assessed detainees needs after completing detox, trained those detainees in Naloxone and administering them certificates and kits at release, connected them with resources in the community and followed up with them upon release for continuity of care.

 

Currently, Tiffany assists the county’s CIT coordinator with Crisis Intervention Training to law enforcement, along with working in private practice to provide counseling to members of the public. Tiffany is also certified to administer Narcan and train others in administering Narcan.

 


At D. Gambles & Associates, Tiffany provides treatment of sex offenders via sexual history interviews, individual counseling and group therapy as designated by courts, public defenders, and/or ones conditions of probation and parole. As a practitioner, Tiffany utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered and Solution-Focused Therapy in order to aid clients in attaining their therapeutic goals. 

 

Tiffany believes the concept of nothing changing if nothing changes and therefore for the most to come out of the therapeutic process and treatment, one has to be committed, willing to do the work and make the necessary cognitive and behavioral changes in order to not only expect but see productive change.
