Front desk Assistant

I am the Administrative Assistant. Since 2023, I have had the pleasure of being part of the D. Gambles & Associates team. In the fall I will be entering into my senior year at Howard University with a major in psychology and minor in sociology.

I began my collegiate year as a basketball student-athlete at Wesleyan College in West Virginia. This sport that I adored taught me discipline, interpersonal skills, teamwork, time management, and overcoming challenges. It also was the catalyst that piqued my interest to change my major study from sports medicine to psychology.

The mental challenges that I observed from the coach, student-athlete, and fan base carried from the court, to the locker room, to the classroom, and then home…and it piqued my interest to learn more about mental illness.

I observed how athletes were thriving but were also feeling devalued by the sport including myself. Depression and Anxiety were normal and not being addressed adequately. I wanted to help restore self value beginning with myself. After taking a few psychology electives it was a done deal for me…I had found my passion! I decided to end my journey with basketball and to move forward and complete my studies specifically at an HBCU and Howard was my final choice. Pursuing my passion meant I needed to be intentional. I knew it was best if I was nurtured in an encouraging workspace where there is opportunity for growth!
